In the tradition of releasing something nifty to the community as a holiday gift (the subject line is the historical reference to the annual posting of such gifts to the venerable VMSHARE conference from long, long ago), SNA is pleased to provide two gifts to the community for 2013.
Gift #1: SWAPGEN version 1310
This version of SWAPGEN provides a few new features that people have asked for.

Debian SSL Server Enabler is a preconfigured mainframe Linux system, developed by Sine Nomine Associates and offered for free download, that enables the use of the IBM VM SSL code shipped with z/VM 4.3 and 4.4. It is generated in a manner such that it can be used only for this single purpose, and cannot be used for general-purpose Linux functions.
Sine Nomine Associates is pleased to announce the availability of a BETA TEST version of SysVInit for VM, a utility package that brings UNIX-like startup scripting to the VM operating system.

Novell Inc. has announced the release of the SUSE® Linux Enterprise Server Starter System for System z, which is a pre-built mainframe Linux server that makes it easier for businesses to evaluate Linux on System z. The Starter System was developed by Sine Nomine Associates.
