Sine Nomine Associates was proud to sponsor a student this summer as part of the Brazil Scientific Mobility Summer Internship program.
Our intern spent his summer doing research and development on the OpenAFS source code, preparing the code for IPv6 functionality. The existing code base assumes socket addresses are 32-bit. Over the summer, our intern updated the code base to be IPv4/IPv6 neutral.
At the 2014 Ohio Linux Fest, Sine Nomine Associates Principal Engineer Mike Meffie presented Building a Private Data Cloud with OpenAFS, a valuable session on how organizations can construct a private data cloud using freely available open source solutions, in this case, OpenAFS.
