Many of the speakers from the 2021 virtual edition of the VM Workshop, held June 10-11, 2021, have kindly provided their presentation materials in electronic format so attendees may download them for reference. 

The presentations can be found on the VM Workshop website http://www.vmworkshop.org/2021pres.shtml. All files are available in PDF format.

Due to continued strict COVID-19 guidelines at The Ohio State University, the committee has cancelled the in-person 2021 VM Workshop. In its place, they are planning a multi-day virtual Workshop and will provide more information regarding dates and content as it develops.

For those of you who have already registered, you may request a refund or keep your registration in place for next year's Workshop.

The 2021 AFS Technologies Workshop will be three half-day Virtual Workshops held from 10:00am to 2:30pm Eastern time on June 14, 15, and 16, 2021.

As part of the ongoing efforts to import security and reliability of macOS, Apple has asked developers to transition products from Kernel Extensions to System Extensions. System Extensions allow software to extend the functionality of macOS without requiring kernel level access. In order to accommodate macOS Big Sur, as well as to position OpenAFS for future versions of macOS, Sine Nomine migrated network operations out of the OpenAFS kernel extension and has contributed the code changes to the OpenAFS open source project.
