OpenAFS 1.8.6pre2 is the first beta for the next stable release of OpenAFS. It brings performance improvements, improved diagnostics, support for the latest Linux mainline kernel (currently 5.6) and macOS 10.15 "Catalina", and a number of bug fixes.

On April 8th, the VM Workshop committee was informed that The Ohio State University is cancelling all events through the month of June. As a result, the June 2020 VM Workshop is being rescheduled to June 10th, 2021 at OSU. Those attendees and sponsors that registered early, will have the option of having their fees applied towards the 2021 event or receiving a refund by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
