Karen M. Sandler, executive director of the Software Freedom Conservancy, and Tarus Balog founder and CEO of The OpenNMS Group, will be keynote speakers at Ohio LinuxFest 2017, which will take place September 29-30 in Columbus, Ohio.
Sandler is a lawyer and an advocate for free software, particularly in relation to the software on medical devices, and is a recipient of the O’Reilly Open Source Award and cohost of the oggcast Free as in Freedom. Balog joined the OpenNMS project in 2001 and became principal administrator of the project in 2002. He is an outspoken evangelist for free and open source software and the communities it inspires.
